Bua Loy

Let’s make a Thai dessert! Bua Loy itself means “floating lotus”. However, this dessert is made from rice flour and coconut milk, which makes it taste more delicious. Don’t forget to use MamaKoKo coconut milk. Happy cooking!

Ingredients:

  • 150 gr rice flour
  • 70 gr granulated sugar
  • 1 MamaKoKo coconut milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 600 ml water
  • 1 pandan leaf
  • Food coloring to taste
  • Ice cubes to taste

How to cook:

  1. First, mix 150 gr rice flour, 1/4 tsp salt and pour 100ml water. Knead the dough until smooth
  2. Divide the dough into several parts and give food coloring for each dough to taste and according to taste
  3. Shape the dough into small rounds
  4. Put the dough into boiling water until the dough floats. Then remove and drain
  5. Soak the boiled dough in 200 ml of ice water to prevent sticking. The amount of ice water can be adjusted again
  6. Next, add 300 ml water, 70 gr sugar, 1 MamaKoKo coconut milk, 1/4 tsp salt and 1 pandan leaf. Then, bring it to a boil and let it sit until it turns into room temperature.

How to serve:

  1. Prepare a container in the form of a bowl
  2. Put the boiled dough filling into the bowl
  3. Add MamaKoKo coconut milk as topping
  4. Bua Loy is ready to eat!
