Steam Basket Cake (Nian Gao)

Ingredients:

  • 150 gram glutinous rice flour
  • 75 gram of rice flour
  • 75 gram of sago flour or tapioca starch
  • 1/2 gram salt
  • 20 gram MamaKoKo coconut milk
  • 300 gram palm sugar
  • 300 gram water
  • 2 pandan leaves

Cara membuat:

  1. Mix glutinous rice flour, rice flour, sago flour, and salt. Stir until smooth
  2. Boil palm sugar, water, MamaKoKo coconut milk and pandan leaves until well dissolved and boiling
  3. Remove from heat and strain. Cool the palm sugar to room temperature
  4. Pour the palm sugar into the flour mixture, stirring well until it is not lumpy
  5. Pour the mixture into a basket cake mold that has been greased with a little cooking oil up to 3/4 of the mold
  6. Put it into a preheated steamer. Steam the dough for 50 minutes or until cooked
  7. After cooked, cool the cake first
  8. If the Basket Cake has cooled down, it is ready to be served
