Minang Style Chicken Korma

Chicken Korma is known as a Minangkabau dish that resembles gulai. Although it has the name date, it turns out that this dish does not have a date base. Its delicious taste makes this food favored by many people. Let’s cook Minang Style Chicken Korma for your beloved family at home. Main Ingredients

a. Chicken 5 pieces

b. 3 MamaKoKo coconut cream 65ml

c. Potatoes (to suit your taste)

d. MamaKoKo coconut cream 65ml + water 500ml

Ingredient e

  • Garlic 6 cloves
  • Shallot 1 ounce
  • Pepper powder ½ tsp
  • Coriander ½ tbsp
  • Candlenut 3 grains
  • Cumin ½ tsp
  • Ginger 2cm
  • Galangal 3cm
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Flavoring ½ tsp

Ingredient f

  • Lemongrass 1 stem
  • Bay leaf 2 sheets
  • Cloves 5 grains
  • Nutmeg ¼ grain
  • Star anise 1 grain
  • Cardamom 3 grains
  • Cinnamon 3cm

Ingredients g

  • Dried yellow mangoesteen 1 piece
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • 1 tsp flavoring
  • Green and cayenne pepper pieces (to suite your taste)

How to Cook:

  • Put spice e into a blender
  • Sauté the pureed spice e until fragrant
  • Add seasoning f and stir until smooth and fragrant
  • Add fragrant, add ingredient a then stir again
  • Then add ingredient d
  • Then add the ingredients c that have been cut into pieces, stir again until boiling
  • After boiling, add ingredient b and stir until well mixed
  • Then add ingredient g
  • Stir the dish again until it thickens
  • If it has thickened, the chicken korma is cooked and ready to serve.
