TOBELO – FaktaMalut | As a form of humanitarian concern, PT Natural Indococonut Organik (NICO) has once again distributed basic food assistance. This time, the aid was provided to residents affected by flooding in North Halmahera Regency, North Maluku.
The assistance, in the form of rice, reflects the company’s care and support for communities currently facing hardship. The aid was distributed through the Logistics Assistance Post at the North Halmahera Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Office on Tuesday (January 13, 2026).
PT NICO Spokesperson, Deky Tawaris, together with Rev. J. Soselisa, personally handed over the assistance. On that occasion, Deky stated that the distribution of aid was a tangible expression of PT NICO’s concern for residents affected by the disaster in North Halmahera.
He also added that PT NICO’s management expressed appreciation to the Regional Government, especially the Regent and Vice Regent of North Halmahera, for their strong synergy in handling flood disaster victims.
Meanwhile, the Regent’s Expert Staff, Valentino E. Leiwakabessy, expressed gratitude to PT NICO for the support provided to affected communities while receiving the aid.
“On behalf of the Regent, we extend our deepest gratitude to PT NICO’s management for this assistance. This support greatly helps ease the burden on the community, especially those affected by floods and landslides,” he said.
