Hein Namotemo University (Unhena) held a Link and Match seminar with the theme “Collaboration between the Government, Higher Education, and Industry in Preparing Human Resources for the World of Work” on Thursday (20/11).
The seminar featured four speakers who are experts in their respective fields. First, Head of Geothermal Engineering at PSPE PT Segi Hamiding, Palal. Second, General Manager of PT Nico, Nanang Rismadi. Third, Head of the Halut Manpower and Transmigration Office, Jeffri Hoata, SPi., M.H., IPU. And fourth, Rector of Unhena, Dr. Hendriane Namotemo, S.S., M.M.
The Rector of Unhena, Dr. Hendriane Namotemo, stated that his party did not expect the seminar invitation to be received positively, and that the speakers attended in person without being represented by staff. “The General Manager of PT Nico was present, as well as the Technical Head of PT Segi and the Head of the Nakertrans Office. This made the seminar very interesting,” he said.
According to the Rector, seminars led by company leaders raise the level of activities and improve their quality because the speakers have a deep understanding of industry needs and share their knowledge directly.
“It turns out that the industrial world has also anticipated this, and the government is also very enthusiastic about this kind of collaboration,” he said after the seminar. He added that the industry, government, and campus all want to collaborate, so this activity is the first step in building mutual understanding.
In addition, he also expressed his appreciation to the Chair of the Hein Namotemo University Decade Committee, Frits Jamlaay, S.Pi., M.P., and the Secretary of the Committee, Edom Bayau, S.Hut., M.Si., who worked to prepare the seminar and the upcoming graduation ceremony.
