Giant Freshwater Prawns Paliat

The combination of fresh prawns with a thick sauce full of spices, especially when cooked with Mamakoko coconut milk, is guaranteed to be creamy and delicious!

Main ingredients:

  • 3 giant freshwater prawns
  • 1 MamaKoKo coconut milk
  • 7 cloves shallots
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 candlenut
  • 2 cm ginger
  • 2 cm galangal
  • 1 turmeric segment
  • 1 lemongrass stalk
  • 1 lime
  • Sugar to taste
  • Mushroom stock to taste
  • 500 ml water

Chili paste ingredients:

  • 8 red chili peppers
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 lime
  • 1 small shrimp taste
  • 5 cloves shallots
  • Mushroom broth to taste

How to cook:

  1. Puree with a blender for 7 cloves of shallots, 3 cloves of garlic, 1 candlenut, 2 cm of ginger, and a water
  2. Once smooth, mix it into the washed giant freshwater prawns, then stir until evenly distributed and marinate for 15-20 minutes
  3. Boil 8 red chili peppers, 1 tomato and 5 cloves of shallots
  4. After boiling, It’s time to make chili sauce by adding 1 small packet of shrimp paste and mushroom broth to taste, then stirring until evenly distributed, after that flush with lime juice
  5. Prepare a pot that already contains 500 ml of water, then cook until it boils
  6. After boiling, add the marinated king prawns and add 1 lemongrass stalk and 2 cm of galangal that has been grated
  7. Cook by occasionally flipping. After it is thought to be evenly distributed, add the juice of 1 lime and stir again
  8. Before lifting, add sugar and mushroom broth to taste
  9. Giant Freshwater Prawns Paliat is ready to serve

How to serve:
