Steamed Coconut Milk Chinese New Year’s Cake

Besides being eaten directly, Chinese New Year’s cake can be processed into a variety form, one of which is with coconut milk. Check out this steamed coconut milk Chinese New Year’s cake recipe. Don’t forget to use MamaKoKo coconut milk for a more savory taste.

Ingredients:

  • 100 gram Chinese New Year’s  cake (cut to taste)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (dissolve with a little water)
  • 200 ml MamaKoKo coconut milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Banana leaves to taste
  • Toothpicks

How to make:

  1. Firstly, boiled MamaKoKo’s coconut milk, then add salt and cornstarch. Cook until the coconut milk thickens then set aside.
  2. Put the Chinese New Year’s cake pieces into the coconut milk and stir well. After that, put a vegetable spoon of the mixture into a banana leaf. Wrap and pin using a toothpick
  3. Put the dough into the steamer that has boiled, then steam until cooked
  4. Steamed coconut milk Chinese new year’s cake is ready to enjoy
