Wingko Babat

Wingko babat, also known as wingko, is a traditional Indonesian food, which is round and cut into small pieces with a soft and fragrant texture. The combination of sugar and coconut make wingko babat is delicious to eat, especially when served warm.

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams white glutinous rice flour
  • 180 grams steamed grated coconut
  • 100 grams granulated sugar
  • 100ml MamaKoKo coconut cream
  • 50ml water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp vanilla powder
  • 1 pandan leaf

How to make:

  1. Put coconut cream, water, sugar, salt, vanilla powder, and pandan leaves into a saucepan. Stir until dissolved. Boil until slightly boiling. Remove from heat.
  2. Prepare a container. Add glutinous rice flour. Pour coconut cream little by little into the glutinous rice flour. Mix well.
  3. Add in steamed grated coconut. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Grease Teflon with oil.
  5. Transfer the dough onto the Teflon. Cut according to taste.
  6. Bake the wingko on low heat until cooked. Flip the other side. Bake until evenly cooked. Remove and serve.
